Final drafts from writers are due today (19th May - final count will be taken at c 6pm UK time on the 20th May - so a little leeway).

I have received three drafts so far (and word from a fourth writer).

All I need from you writers is your final draft of over 15,000 words sent to leveragebbmods@googlemail.com . IF you haven't heard from your artist, please let me know in the body of your email.

By submitting a final draft you are committing to post your story during the posting period. This is your last chance to drop out.

Once I have received all of the drafts, a post will go live that lists the available posting dates and how to claim your preferred day.

I hope everything is going well for you all. I look forward to seeing the rest of the drafts, and the upcoming art drafts :)

We have 14 artists signed up so far - I will be doing a few promos to see if we can get some more in the next few days. We have only had a few people drop out so far - and there has already been a draft submitted :)

Rough Drafts are due in a week - you have a little more leeway, as I won't be able to chase anyone up for drafts until Wednesday (17th), so as long as I receive a draft fitting the requirements by the end of Tuesday 16th April, you are all good.
If you have any issues/think it might take a little longer, just drop me a message/email and we'll see what we can do.

And in case anyone needs it - here's what we need when you submit your drafts:

Rough drafts need to be a minimum of 9,000 words (60% of the minimum word count). There should also be an outline of the reminder of the fic, to show that it will reach the minimum word count.
All drafts should be in rtf, doc or pdf format, and should be sent to: leverage.bb.mods [@] googlemail [.] com
Your header should read: fic title, your name, rough draft

You also need to include a summary of your fic - that can be used for the artists claiming post. This should be in the body of the email (and remember - that summary is what the artists will be looking at when deciding on the fic they want to claim).
The easiest thing is to follow a format like this:
Summary
Warnings
Pairings and Genre - if your fic is a crossover/fusion, note with what (i.e The Hunger Games/Avengers/Barney)

It doesn't have to be beta'd, or complete, but we ask that you only send in your draft if you're certain that you'll be finished in time for posting.

Good luck everyone!

Six drafts have been recieved so far - you have a good few hours to go before I will be chasing people for drafts (if you can get the draft in before 8pm tomo, UK time, you'll be good).

There's been a few requests for extensions, and I have a note of who and for when, so don't any of you worry, just keep working ;)

If you need a reminder of how to submit your draft the details can be found here. Your draft needs to be a minimum of 8,000 word long and it does not need to be beta'd.

Once your draft is submitted, you have until 11th March to finalise your 10,000 word fic, and posting will start on the 16th March (details with regard to this will come closer to the time).

And as ever, please let me know if you are having any issues/need any help :)

Good luck everyone *waves pompoms*

Before going into the details of how to submit your drafts, firstly I have to say a big thank you to you all. All but 4 authors have been in touch to let me know how they're doing, and considering that's out of 28, it is all kinds of amazing.

Anyone who is struggling, or thinks they might need a little bit of an extension, please let me know. I promise I don't bite, and extensions can be given if required, just give me a poke and I will get back to you ASAP.

OK folks, now to the admin side of this post, there's a week left until the rough draft deadline (26th February), so it's time to let you know how to submit your drafts.

Please email your drafts, as doc, rtf or text format to - leverage.bb.mods@googlemail.com

In the subject line of your email should look something like this:
, , rough draft

In the body of the email please list your word count, and confirm that you have had contact with your artist. And that's all we need :)

For those of you wondering, we will not be looking at your drafts. The only reason we ask for you to send them to us is so that we know that you are close to finishing, and that you will reach word count.

-

I look forward to seeing all those drafts roll in over the next week :)

Sorry these are a little late - I may be slightly of the brain dead this week *face palm*

I come with the instructions of how to post - just in time for the first one of you :) - and it's a much simplier post than last year's ;)

Firstly, Authors Posting Guidelines

Authors, when posting your fics (aka when posting your 'masterpost' to the comm with thei links to your fic) your subject line should read as follows:

Title of story: Author/s: Genre+Pairings: Rating

And you should use the following header:

Extra notes: if it has multiple parts, much &hearts if you link to the parts separately in the masterpost and link the parts together (so a link to part two at the end of part one etc) - I know a lot of people do that anyway, but not everyone does and it's one of those things that makes it much easier to read a fic.

Artists making art for the big bang fics

There's no posting guidelines for you :p - your art will be linked to by your authors, but where possible please provide a short header on your art post (basic: made for thebigbangjob, for this fic by this author, the fic can be found here - include any warnings and a rating as necessary.)

Or you can use the text below, deleting anything that you don't want to include:

-

As ever any questions poke us with a stick feel free to comment here or PM me, or use the poke a mod post.

Good luck everyone, can't wait to read all the amazing stories, and see the stunning art ;)

Writers

Your final drafts are due tomorrow - there is a little time between tomorrow and the posting period, so you'll have time to do any extra touches that need done.

Basically, this final draft deadline is our way of making sure that you all have something over the required word count and that will be ready to post.

All you need to do is send the final draft to us, with the following as a subject line:

author - title - final draft

In the body of the email include your word count.

This your last chance to drop out, and to let us know if you have any issues. If you haven't heard from your artist/s please let us know.

Artists

Your work is due to us tomorrow - it doesn't have to be everything, but you have to have fulfilled the minimum. This is so that we know that all of the fics have art, and it gives us that week to find a new artist/make it ourselves if it's needed.

Subject line for art submissions:

artist - author, title of the work you've made it for - art

In the body of the email tell us the type of art - and any extra comments you want.

If you've had any issues, again, please let us know.

The email address is leverage.bb.mods at googlemail dot com - and you will recieve a confirmation of reciept - if you don't, that means we haven't gotten it.
[identity profile] weaselett.livejournal.com
So, the rough draft deadline is fast approaching, I hope everything is going well for you all. And if you've already finished, well done you! This is just the post you need to be seeing now ;)

How to turn you rough draft in:

1. Save your fic as a .doc, .rtf or .txt file (if this isn't possible for you for whatever reason, please email us asap). When saving it, please name it: Rough draft [Title] by [Author].

2. In a new email, do the following:
- To: leverage.bb.mods@googlemail.com
- Subject line of the email must be: Rough draft - [author name]
- Attach the document

3. The body of the email must contain the following:
Author/s
Summary (this is the summary that will be used for artist claiming, so make sure you're happy with it)
Warnings
Word Count
Pairings and Genre - if your fic is a crossover/fusion, note with what (i.e The Hunger Games/Tangled/Barney)

4. Remember, your rough draft must be at least 12,000 words (plus an outline for what remains to be written) - the final draft has to be at least 15,000 words.

All rough drafts must make it into the moddly inbox by the end of the 21st August. If you need a little more time, or think you might not quite get it in by then, drop us a comment on here (comments to this post are screened).

If you need to drop out, you can comment here as well, but hopefully that won't be too many of you.

And finally, if you guys could pimp the big bang around, we are still in need of artists. I willl be doing some pimping when I can, but any help you guys can offer would be much appreciated.
[identity profile] weaselett.livejournal.com
Right, not long now *rubs hands together*. So this is the 'posting guidelines' post, which is more complicated than last years, but complicated can be fun ;)

Firstly, Authors Posting Guidelines

Authors, when posting your fics (aka when posting your 'masterpost' to the comm with the links to your fic) your subject line should read as follows:

Title of story: Author/s: Genre+Pairings: Rating

And you should use the following header:

Extra notes: if it has multiple parts, much &hearts if you link to the parts separately in the masterpost and link the parts together (so a link to part two at the end of part one etc) - I know a lot of people do that anyway, but not everyone does and it's one of those things that makes it much easier to read a fic.

Artists doing Art for Prompts: Posting Guidelines

When posting your art (or a link to your art, you can do either) your subject line should read as follows:

Prompt: Artist: Type of Art: Rating

And you should use the following header:

Artists doing Art for an Existing fic

A mix of the two above. Your subject line should read as follows:

Title of Fic: Artist: Genre/Pairing: Rating

And you should use the following header:

Fill out the header according to your art, but where possible provide warnings that relate to the fic (part of the aim being to get more people to read the fic as a result of your pretty art).

And finally: Artists making art for the big bang fics

There's no posting guidelines for you :p - your art will be linked to by your authors, but where possible please provide a short header on your art post (basic: made for thebigbangjob, for this fic by this author, the fic can be found here - include any warnings and a rating as necessary.)

If all else fails, look how I post my art as I have to go first ;)

-

As ever any questions poke us with a stick feel free to comment here or PM one of us moddly types.

Good luck everyone, and well done for sticking with us through everything, you crazy, awesome people ;)

We have 8 notified drop outs & 2 submitted fics. That leaves 18 of you to submit something in the next 40 30 minutes to be counted.

Don't worry about how rough and un-postable it is. It's a rough draft submission meaning that so lng as it's 20,000 words long, it can have grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, you name it. Just turn it in and don't worry about those things. The only reason we'll turn you away is if you don't make the word count.

AUTHORS:
- You have approximately 36 hours left to turn in your rough drafts
- Only have 2 submitted so far
- Over 20 authors still to submit a rough draft
- Please see THIS post for more info. on how to submit your rough draft

ARTISTS:
- There are approximately 36 hours left to sign up as an artist

If you need to drop out, just leave us a comment here or email/PM the mods.

Please note that times used this year will be in GMT as it makes it easier for me and my co-mod. If you need to convert GMT times to your local times, please use the Time Zone Converter for ease of mind.

Hi everyone. We're down to the last seven days before the deadline for rough drafts. As yet, we have had no submissions, this makes me sad. If you're just waiting for me to tell you how to turn your rough draft in, then wait no more, for that is what this post is about!

Just to reassure you, your rough draft does not have to be beta'd - we're not reading it, just checking it to make sure it's at/over the 20,000 word mark and that it has some form of beginning middle and end. Once we've received your email, you'll get a reply confirming that we've got it, then you should get an email a little later saying that you're fic meets the requirements and that you're good to send it for beta-ing etc. Don't worry if this takes a day or two, I work unsociable hours so things tend to get done at weird times of the day.

Your fic MUST be received by midnight (GMT) October 1st. So long as it's 23:59 (GMT) or before on 1st October, then it’s ok.

Please read everything below before emailing your fic to us.

How to turn you rough draft in:

1. Save your fic as a .doc, .rtf or .txt file (if this isn't possible for you for whatever reason, please email us asap). When saving it, please name it: Rough draft [Title] by [Author]. Please use the final title and author name you want your story to be known by as either of them could end up on your art.

2. In a new email, do the following:
- To: leverage.bb.mods@googlemail.com
- Subject line of the email must be: Rough draft - [author name]
- Attach the document
- Content of the email must contain:

An explanation...
Title: This should be the final title in case it appears on any art
Author: You!
Beta(s): So we know that you do have someone to help you get your fic into perfect reading order. If you're in need of a beta, check here
Characters/Pairings: Just the main ones and an OC caveat if you have any OCs
Rating: If you're unsure on how to rate your fic, then please check out either of the links here. We'd rather you rate it a little higher than you think and mention that, then talk it over with us/a friend, than rate it too low and people get a shock when reading your fic
Genre: AU/canon/crossover etc.
Warnings/spoilers: character death, non-con, graphic violence/sex, episode(s) etc.
Current Word Count: To compare what we check your current word count to be with and so we know at a glance just how well you're doing
Summary: This is for the artists, not necessarily your final summary but what you're using to tempt artists to chose your fic to make art for
Notes: This isn't where to thank people but where you can tell us anything else you think we should know about your fic that's not already covered in the categories above. Also, if you're going to be away during November anytime then please tell us now/asap.

3. Double check that you've filled everything in and attached the document (you wouldn't believe the amount of times I've forgotten to attach documents when sending things to people!) and hit SEND.

A few other things:
- On 5th October the artist claiming post will go up and fics will be claimed by artists on the title, summary, genre and warnings alone (though if a fic has a very high rating, that may well be mentioned somewhere too), so make sure you include as much temptation in them as possible :)

- All art/vids are due by midnight 1st November.

- Final fic drafts are due by midnight 1st November.

- The posting schedule will be posted on 3rd November, posting of fics will begin 4th November.

Just to re-iterate as it's very important: YOUR ROUGH DRAFT -MUST- BE SUBMITTED BY MIDNIGHT (GMT) ON 1ST OCTOBER, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Please note that times used this year will be in GMT as it makes it easier for me and my co-mod. If you need to convert GMT times to your local times, please use the Time Zone Converter for ease of mind.

Good luck to everyone - I know you can do it :D I can't wait to read what you all come up with.

We have 7 artists and 23 authors signed up, but there has only been one fic submitted and we've had four (4) fics submitted and we're down to the last handful of hours before the cut off for BigBang submissions. Thank you to the authors who have submited their fic and to the couple who've informed us that they're having to drop out.

Please don't worry about how bad your rough draft is, it's rough, it's meant to be full of grammatical errors and misplaced characterisations eand so on. That's what the month for beta-ing is for. If you're worried about how bad your fic seems and are ashamed of how rough it is and don't want to submit it for those (or similar) reasons, then don't worry. None of the mods are going to actuall read this version, just check the word count and flick through it to make sure there's no random copy & pasted bits of text to bulk out your word count (not that we think anyone of you would do that, but to make it fair, we have to). No one apart from you and your beta(s) is going to see what you submit to us.

Please email us your fic by MIDNIGHT tonight. So long as it's 23:59:59 or earlier wherever you are in the world when you send your fic in, it'll (most likely) be accepted.

How to submit your BigBang can be found HERE.
