Decision Poll The First

Now it's time for you all to make your opinions known, on word count, length of time and how exactly everything is going to be run this year.

This set of polls will be open until the 21st April (next thursday). Another post will then appear on the friday (22nd April) with polls concerning the final timeline.

The aim of these polls is to make sure any decisions we make work for the vast majority of you, and really it's the fairest way to do it.

As decided in the previous poll, we will be running both reverse and normal big bangs this year, but we have to decide how to do so in a way that works best for all involved, and the majority of the questions in the following polls are in regard to that particular question.
The polls also cover the word count and the amount of time given for writing.

Now, hopefully there aren't any 24 year old geniuses planning to steal themselves another poll ;)

And yes I am an evil mod and made each question a separate poll (it's not because I had a blonde moment - not even slightly *coughs*) - so you will have to answer each question, then hit submit, before moving on to the next. Feel free to throw things, preferably cookie shaped things but I'm open.

I said "other" for participating in the normal big bang cause it'll depend on (a) the word count, (b) if I have a good plot bunny and (c) how busy I am with school :)

AUGH AUGH AUGH. I was just saying how much I want to try my hand at a reverse big bang. And then I realized I'm signed up for freakin' 4 BBs for this summer, with another one posting tomorrow. AND NOW THIS. *dies on the floor and never gets up*

Seriously though, I also think a little more time for the writers, no matter which kind of big bang, because it allows for time for beta-ing and editing and little rewrites. This may be my unbelievably untalented self talking though. I think there should be little overlap, with neither challenge starting in the next 8 weeks or so (BECAUSE FIVE BIG BANGS ALREADY), but again, that's just me.

The sign ups won't start until May, and that will be for the normal big bang - the reverse big bang will likely be the one running later in the year

As far as the time allowed - all of the lengths listed above don't include the editing time (which is normally a month) it's just the time to write the rough draft (plus sign ups which is anything from 2 weeks-1 month) - I get that it isn't exactly clear in the above - it's mostly just getting an idea of what people would prefer

I know what you mean big bangs wise (I write and do art - I currently have four writing, six art, plus running this.....so I feel your pain/I am a bit crazy ;))

Bang boom, okay, that makes a lot of sense. I feel slightly less awful about signing up for some many if I know a) that sign ups for these will be a bit later and b) I'm not the only crazy person who is slightly addicted to big bangs :D

I still side-eyeing RPF big bang. RPF is not generally my cup of tea, but I have this idea, right... That's how it always starts. If you need a cheerleader or a sounding board, let me know. I love to rap about these things (and it's a great procrastination tool!).
