It may seem a lot but when you compare it to the original BigBang that had a minimum of 50,000 words for the rough draft, I think 20,000 is quite reasonable, right? Also, from the research I did just over a year ago, the majority of the BigBang communities that were/are still active had/have a minimum word count of 20,000 for the rough draft.
It's totally up to you if you want to join in or not, and if you feel that 20,000 words is just too much to commit to, then feel free to join the rest of us non-writers in our wait for the fics that'll be posted in November :)
