Beta post 2011
There are two comment threads to this post. One is for offering up your skills as a beta, the other is for asking for a beta.
The opening comments of each thread show you the basic format to use when requesting or offering.
If you are willing to beta this year, please comment in the appropriate thread (and if you need one, check the offering thread to see if there is anyone who has already said they will beta before posting a request).
Thanks :)

Re: Offering your services as a Beta
Contact Details: You can PM me here on LJ, or comment here and I'll get a hold of you.
What are you willing to beta?: Nate/Eliot, and Parker/Sophie, and genfic. Casefic is fine, but I'm a sucker for romance, and yes, I will beta BDSM themes if you have it/need it. Most crossovers are fine.
What I am NOT willing to beta: I don't do excessive angst, gratuitous violence, or SPN crosses.
What type of beta are you offering? My strongest skillset involves spelling and grammar, continuity and flow within the story, characterization, and little details. I am a nitpicker, so don't come to me if you're just looking for a general set of eyes.
Turnaround time: Depending on the length of the fic and how much notice you give me, I'm usually pretty good at getting things back within 3 days.
I look forward to working with you!

What are you willing to beta?: Nate/Sophie, Parker/Hardison, Parker/Eliot, Sophie/Eliot, Sophie/Tara, Nate/Maggie. I'm good with any genre or most crossovers.
What type of beta are you offering? I do well with characterization and flow within a story. I excel in grammar. I also am very good with turnaround, normally within a couple of days of receiving. The length factors into it a little bit, but I try to do it within two days.
Are you willing to beta crossovers/fusions? Yes
If so, which other shows/films/books are you familiar with? Firefly, Glee, The Hunger Games, Psych, Burn Notice, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Harry Potter.

Summary of your fic: including genre, warnings and word count
Type of Beta you are looking for: Characterization, spelling/grammar, continuity

Summary of your fic: Genre would be general/angst/romance. Might push into "M" territory, I'm not sure yet. Word count might be around 20,000. I'll have a better idea after I outline and get started.
Type of Beta you are looking for: I really need someone to look for characterization and continuity along with story flow. I also need someone who can catch minor grammatical errors that I'll miss. I always edit my own work before letting anyone see it.

Summary of your fic: A crossover with Battle Royale/The Hunger Games/The Codemned. Criminals are sent to an island to battle to the death - if one person survives, they get all their crimes pardoned. The Leverage crew are caught and sent to the Death Island. Some Sophie/Nate and Hardison/Parker.
Type of Beta you are looking for: Characterization, spelling/grammar, continuity, all of it. Oh, and ideally, American-picking (like Brit-picking but in reverse.)
