Artists It's Time to Claim a Story
ALL ARTISTS HAVE NOW STAKED THEIR CLIAMS - EMAILS WILL GO OUT IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS PAIRING Y'ALL UP, SO KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR THEM ;)
It's that time. Behind the cut you will find the summaries for the ten drafts that have been submitted. Claiming is open until the 4th September, but if all of the stories have been claimed before that, we'll close the post sooner and you'll get your assignments sooner as well.
In a comment please list your 3 choices, and we will assign you one of them. Also, please let us know if you are willing to do art for more than one story.
While there are ten artists signed up, andten eleven (gmail ate one) stories to claim, no one is going to complain about having two artists to work with (authors - if this happens, every story will have two artists, even if it's just me doing extra art for some of you ;))
# 1.
Summary: The team split up and for some reason, Eliot went further than most. Five years later, Hardison's running a crew in New York, and Eliot's back. Can he trust him?
Current Word Count: c28500
Pairings: Alec/Eliot
Genre: angst, job!fic
Warnings: Does handwavy discussion of human trafficking count?
-
#2.
Summary: AU early Season 3. A young woman that Nate knows very well shows up at the apartment unannounced and has the whole team curious (and Eliot somewhat attracted), but this isn't just a random visit. Marissa Kennedy needs the kind of help the Leverage team are famous for, perhaps in a bigger way than even she realised.
Current Word Count: ~29k
Pairings :Brief Eliot/OC and some Eliot/Parker & Nate/Sophie later.
Genre: Drama/Humour/Friendship/Family
Warnings: rated PG-13 for some sexuality and light cursing.
-
#3.
Summary: Eliot/Moreau; Eliot/Nate. British Uni!AU.
Eliot Spencer should have learned never to drink again after the incident at the Fresher’s Fair with the giant bunny and the empty beer keg. He never learned this vital life lesson, so life has decided to teach him the lesson directly – with Nate’s unavailable unbelievably hot ass, Hardison’s smart phone, and Moreau’s dirty smirk (and dirtier intentions) providing Eliot’s brain with possibly insurmountable obstacles.
But with his crazy-ass housemates Sophie and Parker, Nate’s past, and Eliot’s insane addiction to Poptarts joining the fray, Eliot may just have a chance of coming out of this with his sanity intact.
(His dignity, FYI, a lost cause forever.)
Word Count: 20,000 ish
Pairings : Eliot/Moreau, Eliot/Nate.
Genre: CRACKCRACKCRACKITYCRACK AU.
Warnings: Profanities galore.
-
#4.
Summary: Season 4 AU from The Fifteen Minutes Job onwards. Relations between Nate and Eliot have been tense ever since Moreau but neither of them are ready to talk about it. A job that’s more complicated than it first seems brings their problems to the surface and forces them to face up to themselves and to events that occurred years earlier as the hitter and the mastermind fight to survive being kidnapped and the fallout of confessions.
Current Word Count: 15,013
Pairings: Nate/Eliot, mentions of Nate/Sophie.
Genre: AU casefic.
Warnings: Some swearing, mild violence (as in the Leverage kind of violence)
-
#5
Summary: Deals are coming due, and the appearance in Boston of Sam and Dean Winchester sparks more chaos than the Leverage team is prepared to handle. As the team and Faith try to sort out the tangle of repressed memories and hidden backgrounds coming to light, they uncover a plot by the King of Hell to claim the soul of an honest man.
Current Word Count: Currently 21,100 - probably 30 - 35K by the time it's done and polished.
Pairings: Nate/Sophie, Faith/Eliot, Parker/Hardison;
Genre: Leverage crossover with BTVS, AtS, and SPN
Warnings: Violence, angst, and threats to the souls of nearly every team member.
-
#6
Summary: Loosely based on Disney's "Tangled." Eliot lives under the smothering rule of his mother, who keeps him locked in a tower for his own protection. She tells him that he could never be accepted or safe in the outside world, all because of the mysterious power he holds.
When Eliot finally decides to run away, his life ends up taking a turn he never saw coming, with a few people he never expected to love.
Angst and fluff, and just a dash of crack! But I promise, it gets a happy ending.
Current Word Count: 23,731
Pairings: Eliot/Parker/Hardison, Parker/Hardison, Eliot/OMC
Genre: AU, Romance, Angst, Fluff - Loosely based on Disney's "Tangled."
Warnings: Character(villian) death. R, M(if we're being really careful. Not super explicit, but there's definitely sex.)
-
#7
Summary: Eliot Spencer is a werewolf who has spent his whole life wandering from place to place without ever finding a real home. But when he is injured by hunters, he is taken in by an eccentric physician named Nathan Ford who shows him more kindness and love than he’s ever known.
Current Word Count: 13,317
Pairings: Nate/Eliot; past Eliot/Moreau.
Genre: Fantasy AU
Warnings: Some violence, though not terribly graphic
-
#8
Summary: Everyone at the city zoo is thrilled to hear the news that they're getting an elephant. Eliot is the new keeper they've hired on to handle the elephant, and he's considerably less excited. Fortunately, Parker and Hardison are ready and willing to make him feel right at home. A love story with an elephant.
Current Word Count: 12,700
Pairings: Eliot/Parker/Hardison, vague background Nate/Sophie
Genre: AU
Warnings: None
-
#9
Summary: Eliot is trying to find his place in society after too many years working for Damien Moreau, unfortunarely family obligations might have to come first. Eliot's always found it hard to say no to his brother, but when Lindsey asks him to track down a weapon that will end his contract with Wolfran and Hart once and for all, Eliot finds himself drawn into a supernatural world in which he'll find new friends, evade old enemies and ultimately have to betray everyone. Including himself.
Current Word Count: c13,500
Pairings: Gen, some het and m/m UST
Genre: Crossover with Angel and Supernatural.
Warnings: None

#10
Summary The September Attacks changed everything, and not just in the 23 cities that were wiped off the face of the map. Boston may have been one of them, but the Leverage crew escaped through the interference of Paul Callan and the other members of Soldaritas Queritas, fleeing the city for the relative safety of the small towns. Events beyond their control, however, drive them to split up and the battered Leverage team is forced into a confrontation that they’re not quite prepared for.
In a town already ravaged by the aftereffects of the bombs, they discover that children and adults alike have gone missing, and the carnival just outside of town looks awfully suspicious. Now they have to work there for a living, keep one of their own safe, and play detectives in a situation where they might just be in over their heads.
With a mysterious illness and outside influences to contend with, they have their work cut out for them...
Current Word Count: 12,140 (projected 40+)
Pairings: Hints of Nate/Sophie, Parker/Hardison.
Genre: Jericho/Miracles fusion, with a stronger focus on the setting than on the characters of either.
Warnings: Moderate violence, but nothing more than what you'd see in, say, a PG13 movie.
-
#11
Summary: The Wyrd Sisters rebuild the Loom of Fate from Wanted. They use the Leverage team to manipulate their threads. Only The Sisters really know all about Eliot.
The Norse Fates pick the Leverage team to be their Avatars for their 'White Collar' division. Finding Eliot Spencer working with the team was an unforeseen bonus as the Fates try to reclaim what they'd lost so long ago.
Current Word Count: 16,445
Pairings: Eliot/Parker/Hardison; Nate; Sophie; The Norns; The Moirae; Mention of various Norse deities
Genre: Slash, AU, het, fusion/crossover
Warnings:
